For the conversion of the Marsala/Stagnone former seaplane base, a military area disused from forty years, has been proposed an extensive tourist park able to relate the natural and archeological resources with the accomodation facilities in the area, creating new development opportunities. In line with the territory vocations, the project puts the two hangars designed by Pier Luigi Nervi, a symbol of precast reinforced concrete of the 40's, in the centre of a new cultural and sports center. The new centre borns from the restoration of existing buildings and the development of four design themes: the outdoor olympic swimming pool, the coastal park, the sports hangar and cultural hangar.
